J.M. Barrie loved cricket. So did several of his friends, who were also famous British authors. They loved cricket so much, they formed their own team–the Allahakbarries (they thought it meant “Heaven help us”).
But the Allahakbarries were downright awful. Some of them didn’t know which end of the bat to hold.
Apparently, the pen is mightier than the sword–but not the bat.
